Changelog
What's new in each version of Enclave, newest first.
Version 1.0.9
November 3, 2026 · macOS 14 or later
Fixes
- Answering Claude Code's questions from the notch works again: the option you pick, or what you type, goes straight back to the agent, in the terminal and in VS Code.
- A question with several long options no longer gets cut off at the bottom of the notch, so every option and Submit can be clicked.
Version 1.0.8
November 2, 2026 · macOS 14 or later
Mac Tools
- Screen recording: the screen, a window or an area you drag, with the Mac's sound and, on macOS 15 or later, your microphone and click rings. A red dot and the time sit in the closed notch and a Stop pill under it, and neither is in the video. Saved as a movie to the Desktop, Movies or the Shelf.
- Keyboard cleaning: every key, media keys too, is paused for 30 seconds to 2 minutes while the screen counts down, and the trackpad too if you like. Hold Esc for 2 seconds to stop early.
- Night Shift and True Tone switches, and a brightness slider for external monitors (Beta, Macs with Apple silicon).
- Text expansion: give a snippet a keyword like ;sig, and typing it in any app turns it into the snippet. {date}, {time} and {name} fill themselves in.
- Sticky notes that float above your windows on every desktop and come back after a restart. In Notes, the pin button turns a note into one.
- Quit All Apps, which keeps Finder, your music and the apps you choose, and hot corners that open the notch, start focus, add a sticky note, lock the Mac or record the screen.
- Everything is in Settings → Mac Tools and Tools → Mac tools, and five new shortcuts are in Settings → Shortcuts.
In the notch
- Files widget: the files you opened or saved lately, and search for any file by name.
- Drives widget with Eject and Eject All, a pop-up when a drive connects with its free space, and "Safe to unplug" once it's ejected.
- Bluetooth widget: your paired headphones, speakers and keyboards, connected first. Tap one to connect or disconnect.
- Printer widget with Cancel. While something prints, the document and printer show in the closed notch, then "Printed".
- Merge PDFs on the Shelf: pick two or more PDFs and get one, saved next to the first.
- Settings → File Tray → Copy text when dropped: drop a screenshot, photo or PDF on the notch and its text is on the clipboard, no menu needed.
- The command palette (⌥⌘K) works on Shelf files too: AirDrop, copy text, resize, compress, remove the background or convert, by typing.
Guards
- Phone Approvals: "I'm leaving" sends your agents' questions to your phone straight away, without waiting for the Mac to lock or sit idle. It ends when you unlock or use the Mac again, or after two hours. Also in the command palette and as enclave://away.
Version 1.0.7
November 2, 2026 · macOS 14 or later
Quick Access
- Command palette: press ⌥⌘K for one search box under the notch that finds actions, tabs, Settings pages, widgets, clipboard history, snippets, Shelf files, notes, to-dos, AI sessions and repos. Type a sum like 240*0.18 and the answer is on top; Return copies it.
- Quick Capture: press ⌥⌘J, type or dictate, and Return saves it to Notes or your to-dos. Start with “todo:” or “note:” to choose.
- Menu bar tray: a chevron that tucks away the menu bar icons you ⌘-drag to its left. Settings → Quick Access.
Profiles and Automations
- Profiles: save the notch's cards, sizes and tabs as Work, Meeting or Evening, and switch with a click, from the palette, or automatically by Focus, the app in front or the time of day.
- Automations: when a meeting starts, a call comes in, the battery runs low, headphones connect or an agent finishes, Enclave can mute the mic, pause music, show a message in the notch, switch profile, or run a Shortcut or command. Start from a ready-made idea in Settings → Automations.
In the notch
- Recap widget: your day or week at a glance, with coding and focus time, agent time, commits, pushes and builds.
- Agent Spend widget, with daily and weekly budgets in Settings → AI Sessions and a notch warning at 50%, 80% and 100%. It shows the API-price estimate for Claude models.
- Branch & Build widget: the branch, uncommitted changes and the latest GitHub Actions result for the repo your agents work in, and your open pull requests and the reviews waiting on you.
- The Shelf keeps its files after a restart. Moved files are followed, deleted or trashed ones drop off, and the files themselves are never moved or copied.
- Dragging a file from Finder onto the closed notch opens the Shelf for the drop every time.
- Settings → Focus Timer → While you focus: pause music until the session ends, quiet agent pop-ups, and turn on a Focus with your shortcuts.
- Weather has a new Pulse style.
Version 1.0.6
October 31, 2026 · macOS 14 or later
In the notch
- New widgets: Month, Progress through the year, Moon Phase, Storage, Breathe, Dice & Coin, Tally and a Daily Mantra.
- AirPods, Beats and other headphones show the right model when they connect, matched by Bluetooth address instead of by name.
Lock screen
- Extend Wallpaper: drag the preview to move the photo, pinch or use the Photo size slider (1–3×) to scale it, and double-click to put it back in the middle.
Welcome and settings
- A new version shows a pop-up above the Dock and a macOS notification; click it to open the Update page. Enclave checks every few hours and at launch.
Version 1.0.5
First release · coming soon · macOS 14 or later
In the notch
- Hover the notch, or press ⌥⌘N, for Now Playing, your next meeting and to-dos, in Mini, Standard, Wide or Music size. Every feature works in every size.
- A board of cards you arrange yourself: calendar, weather, focus timer, stopwatch, speed test, stocks, sports scores, parcels and more.
- A new widget gallery, shaped like macOS's own: search on top, your categories on the side, and a live preview, the sizes and an Add button for every widget. Search finds a widget by its name or by what it does, across every category.
- Shelf for dropped files, with converting and AirDrop. A toolbar zips, shares, resizes or compresses images, cuts out the subject and copies paths; Space opens Quick Look, and Copy Text reads screenshots and PDFs.
- Clipboard history with pinned clips and snippets, and a smart clipboard that reads JWTs, Unix times, JSON, Base64 and UUIDs.
- Notes, voice notes and interview scripts, with a teleprompter. During a call, Notes adds timestamped lines and can summarise them afterwards.
- Calendar quick add: type "Lunch with Sam Fri 1pm" and press Return.
- Ask about the screen: press ⇧⌘6, grab part of the screen and ask AI about it.
- Shuffle and repeat in the closed notch's music controls, and speed, loop and a link at the current moment for YouTube.
Live activities
- Album art and playing bars, volume and brightness, charging, Caps Lock and your Focus mode in the closed notch.
- Low Power Mode pops out of the closed notch when you turn it on or off, and the battery turns yellow while it's on, like the iPhone.
- Download and AirDrop progress, with pause and resume.
- Unread messages, email and notification counts from your Dock badges, hidden while you share your screen.
- AirPods, Beats and headphone pop-ups with battery, in place of macOS's own banner.
- Pop-ups for your teams' games, a stock's closing bell, parcels out for delivery or delivered, and flights boarding and landing. They take turns and wait while the notch is open.
For developers
- Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Droid, Qwen Code, Auggie, Cline, OpenCode, Devin, and the Claude and ChatGPT apps.
- Agents no longer sit in the closed notch: a small pop-up drops down when a turn starts, files change, a test finishes, an agent needs you or it's done, then closes.
- Pop-ups show one at a time, and a permission request goes to the front. Hide closes one and keeps the notch shut for 5 minutes. Open on updates is now off until you turn it on.
- Approve commands and edits from the notch, stop an agent, reply to it, queue your next prompt, and undo its last turn.
- Answer Claude Code's questions from the notch. When it asks you something in VS Code, Terminal or anywhere else, the notch drops down with the question: pick an option (or several), or type your own under Other…, then Submit. Answer in VS Code sends it back to its own window.
- Claude and Codex usage limits as rings, with alerts, a runs-out forecast and prompts that wait for the reset.
- A Dev tab for commits, pushes, builds and deploys (Queue → Build → Live), dev servers with a phone QR code, and errors with Fix with AI.
- Ready to commit pops up by itself when an agent's turn ends, with a commit message your AI writes, Apple Intelligence on your Mac included. Commits that haven't gone up show as Ready to push.
- Work still not committed or pushed pops up again as a reminder every 15 minutes, 30 minutes or hour (Settings → Connections → Remind me). When it's done, the pop-up says "Committed & Pushed ✓", or why it failed.
- Connections for GitHub, GitLab, Vercel, Cloudflare, Sentry, Docker, Linear, Jira, Stripe, PostHog and more, read only, with keys in your Keychain.
- The enclave command and a local API to put your own scripts in the notch.
Guards
- Twelve guards, each with its own page in Settings, all speaking through one small pill under the notch.
- Shoulder Guard hides your notifications, or blurs the screen, when someone looks over your shoulder. Eye Care reminds you to blink and look away. Both read the camera on your Mac.
- You're Muted tells you when you talk while a call has you muted, and presses Unmute for you. Camera & Mic Log notes each new app that uses them.
- Talk to Agent sends a prompt you say out loud. Phone Approvals lets you answer an agent from the ntfy app while you're away. Awake for Agents keeps the Mac up while one works.
- Unpushed Work offers to push when you lock the Mac or at the end of the day. Where Was I? takes you back after a break. Interruptions notices when you're scattered, or deep in work.
- Secret Wipe clears a copied API key, token or password after a minute. Wi-Fi Guard warns on open Wi-Fi with no VPN.
Lock screen
- A music player with Apple Music-style lyrics and full-screen album art.
- Enclave clock faces, date-line widgets (now with Low Power Mode), Extend Wallpaper and Depth Effect, and music videos behind the cover.
- Face ID unlock with your Mac's camera, with liveness checks.
Tools and AI
- An AI assistant with the provider you choose, or Apple Intelligence on your Mac, plus web search.
- Mac controls: Dark Mode, hidden files, Empty Trash and window snapping.
- Screenshots, a colour picker, keep-awake, a camera mirror, and developer tools: JSON, hashes, passwords and QR codes.
Welcome and settings
- The "hello" welcome plays on the first launch only. Settings → Replay the Welcome plays it again.
- Hide the Dock icon with Settings → General → Show in Dock, or right-click it and choose Remove from Dock. Enclave keeps running in the notch; open it again from Finder or Launchpad for Settings.
- VoiceOver reads every clickable row, card and icon button as a single button.
- Enclave checks things less often while the screens sleep, in Low Power Mode or when the Mac runs hot.
- After an update, everything it added is tagged NEW in Settings, and the gear in the notch gets a blue dot until you open Settings.
Privacy
- Notes, to-dos and AI history are encrypted on your Mac, with the key in your Keychain.
- A secrets guard flags API keys and passwords in an agent's edits before they're committed. The secret itself is never shown or kept.
